Tiny house, big view

This is how I woke up on our last day.  You can't beat the view.  Although this was fun, it's a one and done for me.  I need communal space that isn't dependent on the weather.  Glad we got out to Banning State Park too! I can cross it off my list!

Big Spring Falls

This waterfall was cooler than the last one:  Big Spring Falls.  Chris got a little closer to the edge than I'd like, but it was a lovely walk, if not cold and sprinkling.

Banning State Park and Hike

Nice day for it!  Low 60s, overcast, but great for a hike along the Kettle River.  Took some lovely photos, found a heart, and got some fresh air.  Then back for a fire 🔥 and weird adventure trivia.  Chris napped, I relaxed, and now we are headed to another waterfall.  It's only 55° now...so I'm not really looking forward to being outside but I do what Cory wants.  She was right about pickleball, so I shouldn't tempt fate.

Tiny House Weekend!

Headed up to Kettle River, MN for Cory's birthday weekend.  I gave her two options.  New York or tiny house cabin in Minnesota.

She chose what she chose...

I had alot of anxiety about such a small space, but didn't realize until this morning I was having latent flashbacks to our EurRail nightmare 11 years ago (picture included of THAT tiny hell ride).  But it's actually really bougie and lovely.  And we are with people we love.

And that's a wrap.

Our time in the Hamptons has come to a close, and we finished back in Sag Harbor at Page at 63 Main.

It was a quick dinner of vegetable risotto, rigatoni Bolognese, and a simple dessert of vanilla and caramel gelato.  Everything was lovely.

We had a great trip, it was so nice to get away in the midst of construction chaos and have a few days with just us.  ❤

At the furthest edge of Long Island...

We drove up to Montauk Point Lighthouse today - it was closed for renovations but we had a beautiful drive up and walked around a bit.

It was commissioned by George Washington and is the first lighthouse in New York State.  It and the grounds were quite beautiful.

The best goddamn lobster roll in my life.

We went to Lunch:  Lobster Roll for lunch on our way to Montauk.  Holy shit.  We ate WAY too much but it was absolutely the best lobster roll I have ever had.  And I've had alot of them in alot of places.

Marvelous!
