Day 2 - A Stroll Through Paris

We walked about 8 miles today, all of them amazing and lovely.

We started the day after I woke up at 10am.  For those of you that know me, Chris should have checked for breathing.  I could have slept another 25 hours.  Jetlag blows.

We got up, spent about 15 minutes trying to figure out how the induction stove top works (I'm still not really sure how, but Chris and Brett somehow cracked the code on it), and Chris made eggs and sausage.  And yes, in case you are wondering, French sausage and egg DOES taste better.

We then left for a long day of walking and site seeing.  We started our walk along the Seine...and in the rain.  Chris and I had our raincoats, but Brett and Lynette were sharing an umbrella.  Here's us on the Seine.

That didn't work so well, so we veered off course and stopped for a lovely snack of beer, cheese, and charcuterie.  This is going to be a theme people.  Get used to it.  After we had our snack at this lovely little bistro, we headed out toward the Rodin Gardens.

The Rodin Gardens were lovely.  Lots of sculptures, beautiful flowers, peaceful.  Took some pics, then readied ourselves to head to the Rue Cler (where we stayed 6 years ago) and then to the Eiffel Tower.  More to come on that in the next post...but enjoy these beautiful sculptures...and us.
