MOMA

After taking the train into Penn Station, and seeing the biggest male subway rat (and it was clear from across the tracks it was male), we made our way to MOMA and spent a good chunk of time there.

Favorite thing?  The Matisse paintings.  I'm not sure I've ever seen one in person, and they were just lovely, so say the least.  Excited to go to the exhibit at the MIA when we get home.  Here are some shots of my favorites.

Goldfish and Palette, 1904

The Red Studio, 1911

Also got to see the Andy Warhol room - iconic Campbell's soup cans.  What I didn't know is that there were so many.  ??   Also had this lovely one of Marilyn Monroe.  I don't know - I just like it.  There were also a few Jackson Pollock's, and Van Gogh's - it was a great selection.   Until we got to the room where a 12 foot video screen was showing a black and white film of two naked people passing a beach ball around.  We had to run through it with the girls.  I said to Katie - they say art makes you feel, but they don't say what.  Awkward and uncomfortable were my choices on that video...
