First EurRail trip - quite nice. Comfortable, clean, and only one announcement of "pickpockets in the station and on the train."
Saw lots of farms, cows, sheep, goats, horses. The southern Netherlands and Belgium actually don't look that different than Wisconsin. Quite pretty. I was all jacked up about my money belt and putting the EurRail pass back into it, though, so it made it hard to sleep.
Speaking of my money belt, does anyone else think it is AWESOME that it should sit right at the fattest part of my body? And that is stomach for those of you that are wondering. It's like looking pregnant, but not in a good way. And I'm constantly holding onto it, which is like a giant neon arrow that says "MY MONEY AND PASSPORT ARE RIGHT HERE!!"
Such tourists.
